These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CaseFile on the web at casefile-game.web.app (the "Service"), including any subscription you buy there. The Service is provided by Nex Atlas Labs ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The CaseFile mobile apps are covered by their own Terms and Conditions.
CaseFile is a single-player interactive mystery game presented through a simulated smartphone interface. All characters, messages, profiles, case files and events in the game are fictional. Simulated messaging apps, social feeds and other interfaces are story props and are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any real company or platform they may resemble.
Case One is free to play. The remaining cases require a CaseFile Premium subscription.
To subscribe you sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure. Your subscription belongs to the account you were signed in with when you bought it, and you must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to create an account or buy a subscription.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries relating to payments and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.
You may be able to invite friends to CaseFile and earn rewards, such as free time. Rewards have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and are granted only under the program's rules as shown in the game. We may change or end the program at any time, and we may withhold or remove rewards obtained by fraud, automation or abuse.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment. You agree not to:
The Service, including its story, characters, artwork, audio, video and code, is owned by Nex Atlas Labs and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will refund the unused part of any active paid subscription period.
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms. If we terminate your access without a breach on your part, we will refund the unused part of your current paid period.
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nex Atlas Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We may revise these Terms. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version. If a change materially affects your subscription, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continued use after the change means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Nex Atlas Labs operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
