These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the CaseFile mobile application ("the App"), developed and published by Nex Atlas Labs ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
CaseFile is a single-player interactive fiction / mystery game presented through a simulated smartphone interface. All characters, messages, profiles, case files, and events depicted in the App are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real people, organizations, or events is coincidental and unintended.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use CaseFile on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment.

The App, including its story, characters, artwork, audio, source code, and all associated content, is owned by Nex Atlas Labs and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved.
CaseFile does not require an account and does not provide a way to submit, upload, or share content with us or other users. There is no multiplayer, chat, or social feature connecting you to other real people through the App.
CaseFile's narrative includes simulated messaging apps, social media feeds, and other interface mockups as part of its storytelling. These are fictional props built for the game and are not real communications, real social media accounts, or affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any real company or platform they may visually resemble.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nex Atlas Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time.
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction in which Nex Atlas Labs operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
